A Dangerous Light

Ruchi Vael'kyn

Ruchi’s chest heaved with ragged breaths, her dark, slender fingers trembled against the cold stone.

Her hands hastily snapped through the air as she prayed In Por Ylem, to incinerate the glass shards at her feet, leaving nothing but tiny clouds of white smoke.

Nobody could learn of the little Light.

"Fuck."

Let's not get executed quite yet. We cannot show them what to see, only how to see.

Her eyes scanned the training room, as she looked at Xael, and finally spotted Zynrae in the shadows towards the entrance. Their gazes locked.

Ruchi's stare was taunting, attack was the best defense afterall. She felt a bolt of energy jolt through her guts. Then Ruchi realized Zynrae's eyes seemed more curious than malicious, and she let out a relaxed breath.

Besides, what could she have seen, other than an unknown glass-trinket shatter? Then again, her burning the shards, might have given something away to either of them.
